Cardiac Rehabilitation

For individuals living with cardiovascular disease or recovering from a cardiac procedure, Stamford Health’s cardiac rehabilitation program can support a healthy return to an active life. Our exercise physiologists can help you learn how to exercise safely, improve stamina, and strengthen muscles – all in the comfort of our state-of-the-art gym.

We provide exercise sessions, monitored by EKG, where our team will customize an exercise plan based on your abilities, needs, and interests.

Following a personalized program will help improve heart conditions including heart disease and chronic heart failure; and aid in recovery from heart attack, angioplasty, coronary bypass surgery, heart valve repair, and heart transplant.

Our program also helps reduce lifestyle risk factors by lowering cholesterol levels, reducing elevated blood pressure, lowering stress levels, and improving exercise tolerance.

Our staff is always available to answer questions and address any concerns throughout the program. That also includes lifestyle management counseling to reduce risk factors for cardiovascular disease.

Located in our state-of-the-art facility, Sarner Health & Fitness Institute, the cardiac rehab team has access to the newest treadmills, stationary bicycles, indoor track, and more.
