Stamford Health Top Hospital Safety Grade from Leapfrog
Stamford, CT / November 7, 2019 – Stamford Hospital is the only hospital in Fairfield County to receive an “A” from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization, for protecting patient safety.Leapfrog’s Fall Hospital Safety grades were released earlier today, and Stamford Health’s “A” rating recognizes its performance in protecting patients from harm and providing safer healthcare in areas such as infection prevention, and preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents, and other harms to patients.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades, ranging from “A” to “F” to more than 2,600 U.S. acute-care hospitals twice per year.
