Duane Hill

Mr. Hill is a retired financial executive with over 45 years’ experience as a financial analyst, banker, private equity investor, and mutual fund trustee. He began his financial career at J.P. Morgan where he worked as a financial analyst, personnel specialist, and corporate banker. Duane later joined Equico Capital Corporation, a small business investment company (SBIC) subsidiary of Equitable Life, as President and Chief Executive Officer, where he led the under-performing investment firm through a successful turnaround. He subsequently led the acquisition of the firm to form TSG Ventures, LP. He was co-founder and Managing Partner of TSG Capital Group, a middle market buyout firm. He served for 20 years as a Trustee of the Hartford Mutual Funds where he was a member of the Investment Committee and Chair of the Nominating & Governance Committee.

Duane is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with a Master of Business Administration in finance and accounting. He served as an officer in the United States Air Force and was a Distinguished Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Officer Training School.

Duane has served on numerous for profit and nonprofit boards. He has been active in civic affairs in the city of Stamford and formerly served as Chair of the Stamford Planning Board. He lives in Stamford, Connecticut with his wife Lee.
