Use of radiofrequency energy to destroy the Basi vertebral nerve.
Botox Injections
Injections of botulinum toxin type A, into specific muscles or areas of the body.
Epidural Steroid Injections
Injections of corticosteroids into the epidural space of the spine.
Intrathecal Pump Implants
The implantation of a pump that delivers pain medication directly to the spinal fluid.
Nerve Blocks
Injections of anesthetic or anti-inflammatory medication around specific nerves.
Peripheral Nerve Stimulation
Implantation of a device that sends electrical impulses to peripheral nerves.
Radiofrequency Ablation
The use of heat generated by radio waves to destroy nerve fibers carrying pain signals.
Sacroiliac Joint Injections
Injections of anesthetic and steroid medications in the sacroiliac joint, located between the lumbar spine and tailbone.
Sphenopalatine Nerve Blocks
Injections of anesthetic into the sphenopalatine ganglion, a group of nerve cells linked to facial pain and headaches.
Spinal Cord Stimulation
The implantation of a device that sends electrical impulses to the spinal cord.
Spinous Process Spacer Procedure
Insertion of a spacer between the spinous processes of the vertebrae.
Sympathetic Nerve Blocks
Injections of anesthetic around the sympathetic nerves in the lower back or neck.
Trigger Point Injections
Injections of local anesthetic, sometimes combined with a steroid, into painful muscle knots (trigger points).
Ultrasound-Guided Nerve & Joint Injections
Injections of anesthetic, anti-inflammatory medications, or other therapeutic agents into nerves or joints using ultrasound imaging for guidance.
Vertebroplasty & Kyphoplasty
Injection of bone cement into a fractured vertebra (vertebroplasty) or insertion of a balloon to create space before injecting cement (kyphoplasty).

Palliative care treats pain and other disease symptoms that affect a patient’s quality of life. We serve you on an inpatient basis at Stamford Hospital and also provide pain management care in outpatient locations under the leadership of our board-certified physicians.
