Pediatric rheumatology is the branch of medicine that handles pain in the child's musculoskeletal system (joints, muscles, bones, or tendons), as well as arthritis or autoimmune disorders.
What conditions do pediatric rheumatologists treat?
- Arthritis
- Autoimmune disorders, such as lupus, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, Kawasaki disease, post-infectious arthritis, chronic vasculitis, and inflammatory disorders of the muscle, eye, or other organs
- Prolonged fever
- Chronic musculoskeletal pain or weakness

- Fatigue
