Stamford Hospital has an extensive Research Department that is available at all times for the residents to participate in research. The department is involved in many of the most current projects in clinical research.
They help with development of proposals, maneuvering the IRB, and data analysis and statistics. They also run the Annual Research Day at which many of the residents have presented. Our residents also present multiple projects at the Annual Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.
Over the recent years our residents have also presented at the national organizations such as SAGES, American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, The American College of Surgeons Quality Conference, The Hernia Society, the American Burn Association, American Colorectal Society, Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons, and many Breast Surgery and Oncology symposiums.
