Study Synopsis

The purpose of this research is to study the feasibility and safety of convalescent plasma (CP) in patients with SARS-CoV-2 Infection (COVID-19).

  • CP is obtained by collecting plasma from a patient who has already recovered from COVID-19 and developed an immunity.
  • It is hoped that the plasma will be helpful to sick patient and aid in their recovery.
  • Donated CP is received from New York Blood Bank and American Red Cross.

Who Can Donate?

  • Those who have had a lab confirmed COVID-19 positive diagnosis.
  • Resolved COVID-19 status: Complete resolution of symptoms at least 14 days prior to donation
  • Healthy individual without recent history of blood infections
  • 18 years of age or older

Please note should you wish, you can request to have your donated plasma directed to Stamford Hospital.
