Alan H. Morelli, MD
About Me
Dr. Alan Morelli is a board-certified pediatrician who has been in private practice for over 30 years. He has received multiple designations as a "Top Doc" by Castle Connolly, Connecticut Magazine, and New York Magazine. Dr. Morelli enjoys providing continuous care for his patients, supporting their health from infancy through early adulthood.
Dr. Morelli completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont. He also participated in a year of post-graduate research in the Department of Microbiology/Immunology at the University of Vermont School of Medicine.
He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College with a full-scholarship through the National Health Service Corps (NHSC), a division of the U.S. Public Health Service. He graduated with honors and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). Dr. Morelli then completed three years of pediatric internship and residency at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital.
After his residency, Dr. Morelli served his four-year commitment with the National Health Service Corps as founder/director of the Southfield Community Organization Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Center. There he provided pediatric care to medically underserved children of inner city Stamford. During this time, he also served as the City of Stamford school physician and directed the City of Stamford Well Baby Clinics.
In 1989, Dr. Morelli joined the pediatric practice of Dr. Rosemary Klenk and Dr. Dorothy Levine, and in 1994 their partnership evolved to become New England Pediatrics LLP.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Morelli is an attending physician at Stamford Hospital. He served as the Associate Chief of Pediatrics, and he also served on the Stamford Hospital Medical Board, Pediatric Executive Committee, and is a current member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. He also has visiting privileges at Yale New Haven Hospital and is a Columbia Affiliated Physician (CAP).

They are independent practitioners who have been granted the privilege of using the Hospital's facilities for the care and treatment of their patients. This includes, but is not limited to, emergency department physicians, anesthesiologists, radiologists, surgeons, cardiologists, obstetricians, pathologists and other consultants who may treat patients.
