About Me

Ashley Winters is a board-certified physician assistant who has worked in orthopedics since 2016. She is a graduate of the Springfield College PA program. Early in her career, she was exposed to many orthopedic diagnoses and surgeries at a level one trauma center. She specializes in acute care of orthopedic trauma patients and excels in joint reconstruction. 
 
Ashley has been at Stamford Health since 2019 and has been a part of the growth of the relationship with HSS Orthopedics. Ashley is a flexible PA, working with both Stamford Health and HSS orthopedic surgeons. She first assists in many orthopedic trauma and spine surgeries both elective and emergent. She attends to patients throughout the hospital and emergency departments with their orthopedic needs. 
 
She independently triages fractures, joint dislocations, and hand injuries in the adult and pediatric population appropriately immobilizing, suturing, casting, and splinting.  
 
She shows great dedication while first assisting in all cases but takes special interest in orthopedic spine and pelvic fractures. She frequently advocates for patients suffering from chronic pain and works in close contact with the pain management team. 

She has invested her efforts and attention into assuring patients who come to Stamford Health receive the best orthopedic care possible.

Ashley enjoys golfing with friends, traveling with her husband in search of the world’s best beaches, and finding new local adventures with her chihuahua.
