About Me
Chayse Hellthaler is a certified orthopedic trauma physician assistant. Chayse works with her team as an emergency department consultant where she is involved in addressing adult and pediatric orthopedic injuries and infections. She aids in the management of both surgical and nonsurgical patients, as well as perioperative surgical care. She assists numerous Stamford Health and Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) orthopedic surgeons in elective joint replacements as well as trauma surgeries. She has supplemental training in trauma-focused care from Bridgeport Hospital where she was educated on high velocity trauma injuries, emergency preparedness, burn management, and disaster response.
Chayse grew up doing gymnastics and playing volleyball, where she learned the importance of accountability and teamwork. Chayse was always in and out of the orthopedist’s office. She was inspired by her experiences and pursued a career that encapsulated both emergency medicine and orthopedics. Chayse obtained her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island and her master’s degree from the University of Bridgeport Physician Assistant Program. She likes traveling, skiing, and spending time with family and friends. She loves being hands-on and looks forward to furthering her career at Stamford Health.
