About Me

Dr. VanBeek is a board-certified shoulder and elbow surgeon. She enjoys working with athletes of all ages to help them regain function after injury. She equally dedicates herself to the aging population, treating degenerative conditions including shoulder and elbow arthritis.

Aiming to provide a patient-driven approach to management, Dr. VanBeek offers conservative treatment strategies as well as surgical options. Her primary clinical interests include arthroscopic and open shoulder surgery as well as shoulder replacements. To learn more about shoulder replacement surgery and the types of patients who are candidates for these procedures, watch this video of Dr. VanBeek’s discussion with Dr. Nicholas Fiebach, chair of the department of medicine at Stamford Health.

Dr. Van Beek has published several book chapters, journal articles and reviews in leading orthopedic publications. Dr. VanBeek was named a Fairfield County “40 Under 40” honoree by the Fairfield County Business Journal and Top Doctor for numerous years. In 2020, she was also awarded Exceptional Women in Medicine.
