About Me
Dr. Cheng then completed advanced fellowship training in neurophysiology with a focus on electroencephalogram (EEG) and epilepsy at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center/Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
His advanced training offers hope to patients with new-onset seizures, or patients unable to manage their epilepsy. Treatment begins with a comprehensive and personalized evaluation. Dr. Cheng treats patients using the latest medical therapies including medication and anti-seizure devices such as vagus nerve stimulator or the responsive neurostimulator. He also works as a member of a coordinated team when a patient is a candidate for epilepsy surgery.
Dr. Cheng understands the emotional aspect an epilepsy diagnosis can place on a patient and family. He is passionate about patient-centered care and provides compassionate, individualized care focusing on the quality of life for each patient.
Dr. Cheng has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented posters at the American Academy of Neurology's annual meeting, and is the recipient of many honors and awards including the Resident Teacher Award in Neurology and Essay Winner in the American Osteopathic Association Bureau of History and Identity.
