About Me
Dr. Haik Kavookjian is a fellowship-trained hand surgeon with almost 25 years of experience. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery with a certificate of added qualification in hand surgery.
Dr. Kavookjian specializes in caring for all aspects of the hand. He treats patients of all ages who are experiencing conditions such as sports injuries, traumatic hand injuries, congenital hand abnormalities and degenerative conditions like arthritis. Dr. Kavookjian has previously been awarded a National Institute of Health (NIH) Research Fellowship to study bone metabolism as it relates to age-related bone loss and increased risk of fractures. He continues to study bone metabolism and loss.
Dr. Kavookjian was born at Stamford Hospital and grew up right across the street. He returned to the area after completing fellowship training and has practiced here ever since.
