About Me
Dr. Jeffrey Brooks is an orthopaedic hand, microvascular and trauma surgeon with Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine in Stamford & New Canaan.
He graduated in the top five of his class from Columbia University, College of Physicians & Surgeons. Following his residency at Brown University, Dr. Brooks completed fellowships in orthopedic trauma and hand surgery. Over the course of his training, he cared for the Providence Bruins hockey team, the Brown University varsity football team and the New York Philharmonic symphony.
Dr. Brooks was the first surgeon in Stamford to perform complex pelvic fracture surgery. He is also the first surgeon in Stamford to offer endoscopic carpal tunnel release.
Dr. Brooks has been consistently recognized for providing outstanding care. He’s been named one of Connecticut Magazine’s Top Docs seven years in a row, from 2011 to 2017. He was also included in the Castle Connolly Top Doctors in 2017 as well as New York Magazine’s Top Docs section.
Dr. Brooks has authored scientific articles on carpal tunnel surgery biomechanics, hand and wrist arthritis and distal radius (wrist) fractures. He has also lectured regionally and internationally on aspects of hand surgery and orthopaedic trauma.
Dr. Brooks has diverse personal interests is recently focusing on triathlons. He has completed Ironman Lake Placid and several half-ironman and Olympic-distance races. He is also a very involved youth sports coach for his children’s teams in New Canaan.
