About Me
Dr. Rooney is a pediatrician who specializes in general pediatrics. As a pediatrician with Stamford Health, she is privileged to serve the families of the young patients she cares for. She accompanies parents with joy, dedication and compassion while addressing the medical and developmental needs of their children.
Dr. Rooney was a lecturer on puberty and adolescent issues for almost 20 years for Greenwich and Darien schools. She served three terms on the Board of the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut, pursuing her interest in children's mental health. She currently co-coordinates Parish Partners Ministry at St. Catherine of Siena and St. Agnes Church in Greenwich. This group of over 20 volunteers provides companionship and assistance through visits, spiritual accompaniment and other services to those in need.
