About Me

Dr. Baran is an experienced, board-certified internist who provides high quality, compassionate and evidence-based care to her patients. She believes that disease prevention is essential and encourages her patients to actively participate in their care to achieve health and wellness goals.

Dr. Baran enjoys getting to know the whole person and truly understanding what is causing or contributing to a specific illness. She believes building long-lasting relationships with her patients and their families is both central to her approach and a great privilege of being a physician.

Prior to joining Stamford Health, Dr. Baran was a member of faculty at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City and Assistant Professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she taught residents and medical students and provided primary care to a diverse and complex panel of patients.

Dr. Baran enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children and the family dog, long walks, traveling, and reading.
