About Me

Dr. Gioia practices cardiovascular medicine at Stamford Health. His practice includes patients with coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, heart failure, as well as those who have undergone cardiovascular surgery and interventional procedures.

Dr. Gioia completed his internal medicine residency at Morristown Medical Center where he also served as chief resident. He also completed his cardiology fellowship at Morristown Medical Center. Throughout his training, he received numerous awards including the American College of Physicians Young Achiever Award, Outstanding Interpersonal Skills/Communication Award, and Outstanding Professionalism Award.

He has a special interest in echocardiography including transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear imaging, stress testing, and preventative cardiology.

He resides in Fairfield County with his wife and children.
