About Me
Dr. Michael Cai is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with specialized expertise in neuroradiology, currently practicing at Stamford Health. He brings a deep commitment to precision medicine and workflow optimization, with a clinical focus on advanced imaging techniques across neurological and body systems.
Dr. Cai completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia, followed by residency training in diagnostic radiology at Mount Sinai Hospital, Icahn School of Medicine. He went on to complete a dedicated fellowship in neuroradiology at Mount Sinai, refining his skills in advanced brain, spine, and head and neck imaging.
A Roy Vagelos Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Cai graduated magna cum laude with a concentration in biochemistry. His academic and clinical journey reflects a longstanding dedication to scientific rigor and patient-centered care.
Dr. Cai has held several key leadership roles, including serving as stroke and neuroradiology quality improvement champion at Saint Francis Hospital and as the AI liaison and champion for Empire State Radiology, where he helped integrate emerging technologies to enhance radiology workflows and diagnostic accuracy. He also has additional training through the American College of Radiology in prostate MRI interpretation, underscoring his versatility in both outpatient body imaging and neuroimaging.
With a passion for innovation in clinical practice, Dr. Cai actively seeks to improve operational efficiency and diagnostic excellence through evidence-based technology and collaborative quality improvement initiatives.
