About Me
Dr. Richard Viscarello serves as the attending physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stamford Hospital. He is also the president, chief executive officer and medical director of Maternal Fetal Care, PC in Stamford, Connecticut.
Dr. Viscarello is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as maternal-fetal medicine, and has been providing OB/GYN care throughout the Connecticut community and beyond for over 40 years.
Having delivered more than 100 sets of triplets, 350+ sets of twins and countless singletons during his career, Dr. Viscarello is truly passionate about his work and is devoted to supporting each individual patient throughout her distinct pregnancy.
Dr. Viscarello has been awarded several honors and accolades noting his professional distinction, including:

Dr. Viscarello has been active in numerous professional organizations and has made significant contributions to the field of obstetrics and gynecology. He’s a committed investigator and collaborator on research projects that were awarded multi-million dollar grants from the National Institute of Drug Abuse and the National Institutes of Health. Additionally, he has authored more than 50 published manuscripts and book chapters.
As an advocate for the health of women and infants, he has served as a member and chairman of committees supporting substance-abusing women and their children, HIV and AIDS research, child health and development, and pediatric infectious diseases.
