About Me

Dr. Sejal Vyas is a pediatric and adult neuropsychologist with over 25 years of experience who performs neuropsychological evaluations (including legal/forensic assessments and consultations for school districts), delivers psychological interventions informed by the neuropsychological evaluation (e.g., cognitive remediation with embedded cognitive-behavioral therapy), and is involved with ongoing research (currently with Stamford Health).

Her areas of expertise include neurodevelopmental syndromes (such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and other genetic conditions), neurologic syndromes (such as concussions, traumatic brain injury, and epilepsy), as well as other neuropsychiatric conditions (such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder). She has extensive training in, and an established track record working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and geriatrics.

Dr. Vyas developed her expertise through various in- and out-patient hospital settings including Yale University School of Medicine – Department of Psychiatry, University of California San Francisco (UCSF) – Northern California Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, Columbia University – Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry, and Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai School of Medicine – Departments of Rehabilitation Medicine and Psychiatry, among others. She served as Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons as well as at Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. 

She is currently affiliated with the Stamford Hospital Department of Psychiatry. In addition, she has been part of the Eagle Hill School Diagnostic Clinic, a nationally recognized school serving children with learning challenges.

Dr. Vyas served as President for Neuropsychology in the New York State Psychological Association (2009) and held various other elected positions. Dr. Vyas was awarded the Top Doctor in Stamford, Connecticut Award in 2018, the Best of Stamford Award in the Doctor category in 2015, 2020, and 2021, and has earned a few awards for research. In addition to research, she devotes time educating, building public awareness, speaking at hospital grand round lectures, presenting posters at national conferences and engages in other scholarly activities.
