About Me
Dr. Shara Israel is a primary care physician, board certified in internal medicine. She graduated from Stuyvesant High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from both Barnard College and the Jewish Theological Seminary. She earned her medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia Medical School in New York and completed her residency in internal medicine at Cornell University/New York Hospital.
Dr. Israel was associate residency director of the internal medicine residency program and medical director of the ambulatory clinics at Stamford Hospital before joining her primary care practice in 2007. She is a clinical associate professor of medicine at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and is regularly recognized by her peers as a “Best Doctor in NY and Fairfield County.” Dr. Israel enjoys her diverse patient practice and the comradery of working with her many colleagues in the community. She has served on several hospital committees and is currently a director on the Board of Stamford Health.
