Steven McAnany, MD
About Me
Dr. Steven McAnany is an orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in evaluating and treating degenerative spine conditions. He is experienced in the full-range of procedures and has a special interest in minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. McAnany earned his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital as well. He then completed a spine surgery fellowship at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
In addition to his practice, Dr. McAnany is involved in research that pertains to cost-effectiveness analysis of spine surgery. He is also involved in the design of innovative surgical technology aimed to improve surgical fusion.
Dr. McAnany serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College and as an Assistant Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He is distinguished in his field, with more than 50 published articles, book chapters and textbooks.
