About Me
Steven Yau is a cardiac surgery physician assistant in the Heart and Vascular Institute at Stamford Health
He completed his physician assistant studies at Long Island University Brooklyn Campus. He received his Bachelor of Science(s) in biochemistry and respiratory care at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Steven has been a cardiac surgery and cardiothoracic physician assistant (PA) since 2001 beginning as a PA with the New York University School of Medicine working at HHC Bellevue Hospital Center and NYU Langone Medical Center. In 2009, he made the transition to Stamford Health to help facilitate the creation of and to be an integral member of the heart surgery program. His interest has always been to provide high quality medical care along with a compassionate patient experience.
In his free time, he enjoys sports, fishing, and spending time with his family.
