About Me
Dr. Tammie Tam is a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex epilepsy and new-onset seizure disorders.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in molecular and cellular biology with pre-medical studies at The Johns Hopkins University, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She then completed her neurology residency at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center (Northwell Health), where she served as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Tam went on to complete advanced fellowship training in electroencephalography (EEG) and epilepsy at NYU Langone Health.
Dr. Tam provides care for patients with new-onset seizures as well as those with difficult-to-control epilepsy. She begins with a comprehensive, individualized evaluation and offers the most advanced treatment options, including the latest medications and devices such as vagus nerve stimulators, deep brain stimulators, and responsive neurostimulators. When a patient is a candidate for epilepsy surgery, she collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and expert care.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Tam has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at the American Academy of Neurology’s annual meeting.

Patient Reviews & Comments
All patient satisfaction ratings are submitted by patients who have confirmed email addresses. After their visit, these patients receive a survey within a few days. They complete the survey online, providing feedback on specific aspects of their care. We use this feedback to improve our services and ensure each patient has an exceptional experience. To respect our patients' time, we only send out surveys once every 90 days, regardless of how many times they visit the clinic.
