About Me
Tirana O’Banyoun-Organ, LM, CNM, is a Certified Nurse Midwife with roots in labor and delivery nursing and a lifelong commitment to birth work. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Tirana has cared for families from all walks of life, working for renowned hospital systems and community health centers, and supporting hundreds of births. She is passionate about shared decision-making and advancing equity in maternal health, with a focus on eliminating racial disparities.
Tirana brings deep personal and professional insight to every birth she attends. Prior to joining Oula provided by Stamford Health, she worked at Yale New Haven Health and the Cornell Scott Hill Health Center. As a proud wife and mother, Tirana understands the strength and vulnerability that define the journey into parenthood. Her care is grounded in respect and compassion — honoring each family’s unique story.
Tirana earned her Bachelor’s degree from Howard University and her Master of Science in Midwifery from SUNY Downstate. She is board-certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
