Traci Umbreit, APRN
About Me
Traci Umbreit is a board-certified nurse practitioner who is a vital member of the Heart & Vascular Institute’s cardiac surgery team. She received both her Bachelor of Science and Master's in Nursing at Sacred Heart University.
Traci began her nursing career at Stamford Health in 2013 working on the general surgery unit where she found her passion in providing care to surgical patients. After three years she transitioned to intermediate and critical care. After over nine years as a bedside nurse, Traci advanced in her education and career and became the cardiac surgery nurse practitioner/patient navigator. She works closely with the interdisciplinary team and each patient to guide them through the pre-operative and post-operative periods of cardiac surgery.
Traci believes in providing compassionate, high-quality, and individualized care. She is interested in educating patients and working together as a team to navigate through a major life event.
