Stamford Hospital Awarded Fifth Consecutive “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group

Stamford, CT / May 1, 2025 – Today, Stamford Hospital announced they received an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group for Spring 2025 – the organization’s fifth consecutive ‘A’ rating. Out of 28 Connecticut hospitals to receive ratings from Leapfrog this reporting period, Stamford Hospital was one of 4 hospitals in Fairfield County and one of 14 in the state to receive an ‘A.’

Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 20 performance measures reflecting rates of complications, adverse events, and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
