CLINICAL RESEARCH INTERNSHIPPosition Purpose: Our goal is to introduce individuals to the research lifecycle by participating in clinical and academic research in a hospital setting. The program introduces the basics of research through our core curriculum which includes generating a research question; conducting literature reviews; developing a study rationale, objectives and hypotheses; selecting a study design; understanding human subject research ethics and the regulatory process; carrying out data collection and analysis; abstracts, case reports, and manuscripts for publication and presentation.
The 2026 Summer Clinical Research Internship will run from Monday, June 15 through Friday, August 7, 2026. This internship requires a commitment of 30 hours per week, which includes a minimum of six patient-facing hours coordinated through the Stamford Health Volunteer Department. Depending on project needs, there may be opportunities to work remotely.

GRANT WRITING INTERNSHIPPosition Purpose: The goal of this program is to introduce and mentor students and individuals to the concept, lifecycle, and execution of grant writing and management in a community hospital-based setting. The aim is to increase the number of highly trained grant writers through this professional internship experience. Interns will receive firsthand experience in searching for grants, developing proposals and budgets, submitting applications, and pre and post award management.

SIMULATION TECHNICIAN INTERNSHIP

Position Purpose: Our program includes opportunities to gain experience about healthcare education and simulation-based training. Our goal is to introduce individuals to healthcare education, leveraging methodologies such as high-fidelity simulation and virtual reality.
