Why Choose Us

When emergencies happen and you need to see a medical provider as soon as possible, Stamford Health has options for all patients and circumstances. Our board-certified physicians are trained for a wide variety of trauma, illnesses, and conditions so patients can feel confident in the treatment they receive.

We offer specialized care for children at our Pediatric Emergency Department at Stamford Hospital, which is open 9 a.m. to midnight. If you bring your child to the Emergency Department outside of hours, then children will be seen by Emergency Department doctors who are supported 24 hours a day by pediatric hospitalists and specialists.

Our Geriatric Emergency Medicine Initiative (GEMI) provides geriatric liaisons to support patients 65 and older who enter the Emergency Department.

Our goal is for you to be able to see a doctor as quickly as possible. We offer different types of care centers: emergency room, immediate care, walk-in, and virtual.

Many of our centers have extended hours and are open on the weekend. If you are planning to visit a center in the evening, please call ahead to make sure the services you need are available.
