Physical Therapy At Stamford Health
Our PTs have experience and knowledge in helping patients build strength, endurance, flexibility, and coordination to return to their highest level of function. Here are a few common conditions we treat.
What To Expect During An Appointment
When you work with our highly trained sports rehab therapists, you can expect an individual program to improve strength and endurance, minimize pain, increase flexibility, and prevent re-injury.
- At your first appointment, a PT will conduct an intake to understand your injury and get a baseline of your fitness level. This typically takes an hour.
- Next, your PT will create a personalized care plan. This typically includes one or two sessions per week, for about 30 minutes to an hour each week, though each patient’s plan will be different.
- A PT will provide a routine of exercises to practice at home between appointments.
