Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is designed to help patients manage the physical, emotional, and social impact of pulmonary diseases including emphysema, chronic bronchitis and other forms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. With the help of multi-disciplinary pulmonary rehabilitation care providers, patients receive:
- Exercise training
- Ventilator muscle training, when appropriate
- Disease education, including smoking cessation, energy saving techniques, coping strategies, medication management and nutritional guidance
