What To Expect Before, During, And After Surgery
Stamford Health is reimagining healing in every way, distinguishing ourselves as the most trusted health care partner for the communities we serve.
- Our friendly team of health care providers offer support from the minute a patient enters our facility through recovery and discharge. Our pain management team works alongside the surgeon to prepare for and manage any discomfort.
- When entering our first-floor surgery center, our reception staff will review paperwork, provide a bracelet, and walk a patient to their room.
- In the pre-operative holding area, a patient will be assisted by our pre-op nursing staff, who will help prepare them for surgery and address any needs or concerns. A care partner is welcome to join in the pre-op holding room.
- Visitors may wait in our reception area during the procedure and can join a patient in recovery when the surgery is complete. Afterwards, we’ll help answer any recovery and home care-related questions to ensure a safe discharge.
