Cecile P. Windels, MD

About Me

Dr. Cecile Windels started the Healthy Child in March 2007. She has been a pediatrician in Fairfield County for over twenty years. After graduating from Cornell University, she entered the Peace Corps. As a volunteer, she taught in Ghana for two years. During that time, she decided to pursue a career in medicine. Subsequently, she completed premedical course requirements at Columbia University School of General Studies. Dr. Windels also worked in cataract research at The Eye Institute at Columbia. She received the Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College. Dr Windels completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at Yale Children’s Hospital where she was the Chief Resident in Outpatient Pediatrics. She began her career in private practice with a large pediatric group in Stamford. She was responsible for creating a satellite office for this practice in Darien. Seeking to provide more personal and the highest quality care for pediatric patients, she decided to open The Healthy Child. Dr. Windels is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is recertified every seven years. She also holds certification in Neonatal Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Dr. Windels is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, The Fairfield County Medical Association and an attending physician at Stamford Hospital. Her special practice interests include pediatric asthma and allergies, as well as the psychological and educational issues of children.

They are independent practitioners who have been granted the privilege of using the Hospital's facilities for the care and treatment of their patients. This includes, but is not limited to, emergency department physicians, anesthesiologists, radiologists, surgeons, cardiologists, obstetricians, pathologists and other consultants who may treat patients.
