About Me

Dr. Shaio is board certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery as well as obstetrics and gynecology. She graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University. She earned her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at NYU Langone Medical Center, and completed a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Shaio specializes in the minimally invasive surgical management of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, utilizing both robotic and vaginal approaches. She evaluates and treats a variety of pelvic floor and bladder conditions and has an additional clinical interest in improving female sexual health. She is an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and is regularly recognized by her peers as a “Best Doctor in NY and Fairfield County.” Dr. Shaio has been working in Stamford and throughout Fairfield County since 2009. She currently sees patients in both Stamford and Norwalk and performs surgery in Stamford.
