About Me

Dr. Scott Wolfe is renowned as one of the most experienced, innovative and authoritative experts in orthopedic upper extremity care. He has been consistently rated as one of New York's best doctors for over 20 years. Dr. Wolfe is recognized for his skill in treating wrist conditions, complex nerve injuries and fractures. He was awarded the 2017 Kappa Delta Award, the highest research honor in orthopedics, for a lifetime of important new research about the wrist.

Dr. Wolfe is frequently called upon to operate on highly complex and problematic conditions. He treats upper extremity problems that are incapacitating to the fingers, hands, wrists, elbows and the plexus, in patients of all ages. World-class musicians and professional athletes have had their mobility restored through his care.

Dr. Wolfe’s career goal is to help achieve consistently superior patient outcomes in hand and nerve surgery. He has pioneered research in wrist motion and minimally invasive surgery and is the inventor of an acclaimed new artificial wrist. He has also published well over 175 major papers in the most respected, peer-reviewed, American medical journals.

Dr. Wolfe maintains an active practice and teaches students daily as a Cornell Medical School Professor of Orthopedic Surgery. He’s recognized for his leadership in improving the surgical education, skill level and techniques practiced by the most up-to-date hand surgeons.
