Rod Acosta, MD

President & CEO, Stamford Health Medical Group

Rod Acosta received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed a residency in Family Medicine at St. Joseph Hospital in Stamford, where he also served as Chief Resident. He started a solo practice in 1987 and after several successful years became a founding partner of Stamford Family Practice. Rod Acosta and his partners joined SHMG in 2011, becoming the first primary care group to join. Rod Acosta, MD presently serves as the President and CEO of the SHMG and is part of the Executive Leadership Team at Stamford Hospital.
