Surgery At Stamford Health
Check in at the welcome desk in the main lobby of the hospital. Please have your current photo ID and insurance card ready; this is for your safety. Keep these documents out and then follow signs to “Admitting” where a staff member will assist you. You'll then take the elevator to the first floor. There, a receptionist will greet you and prepare your paperwork for your nurse right before your surgery or procedure.
Arriving at Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center
There is a separate parking lot and entrance to the Bennett Cancer Center. Patients receive a complimentary parking permit for self-parking in Lot F, or they may utilize the valet service by the Emergency Department at no charge. Additionally, there is a complimentary shuttle to transport you to and from the hospital to your vehicle. Once inside, check in at the main entrance of the Bennett Cancer Center, where the staff will assist you.
Labor & Delivery At Stamford Hospital
We recommend parking at the valet entrance before entering through the main entrance of the hospital. Show your current photo ID and insurance card at the welcome desk to obtain a pass, unless you are in active labor.
If you are in active labor, please alert the staff. If you are not in active labor, follow signs for Whittingham Pavilion/Labor & Delivery after checking in and obtaining your pass.
Emergency Room
If coming by car, follow signs to the Emergency Department and use our valet parking service. All patients who come into the Emergency Department are seen by an experienced greeter nurse, who determines to which treatment zone they will go.
Priority Discharge Process
When you're ready to return home, our goal is to make the experience as smooth and seamless as possible. Our staff will be happy to order you breakfast, assist with bathing/dressing, and can even have your medications delivered to your room before you leave.
